| April means spring, but most important it is the start of
the baseball season. After a winter like we weathered in New
England spring is more than welcome.
Now that the player salary negotiations are over, trades
completed (for the time being), ticket prices have increased
and all teams are saying that this should be a better year
than in the past, we can get down to watching our heroes again.
The interest in sports cards appears to be remaining flat
over the past year unless someone was looking for a specific
player or cards prior to 1970.
Sports memorabilia still has a vast following. The
range of collectibles includes original autographs, pictures,
equipment and many other items. The major auction houses can
still get high prices, but for the average collector/dealer
it is usually not the case. I hope that you are having better
luck than me in this area.
